Lucescu: ‘VAR checked every one of our goals from a minute – Where was it in other matches?’

by

PAOK prevailed with an emphatic 6-0 defeat of Ionikos, returning to winning ways.

THE Razvan Lucescu he was pleased with his team, understandably so, speaking well of them Keziora and Jima, while for the latter he argued that the world should “leave him alone” to work.

The Romanian coach, however, made his comment about the referee’s treatment of him PAOKsaying that against Ionikos he checked all the goals, while in the previous games the VAR… was absent!

“It was a good game, we managed to score a lot of the chances we created. Looking forward, we are satisfied with this evening. The injustices done to us by VAR and the referees have cost us significant points. We have made mistakes and we could have faced some situations differently. But we can see the big difference in how the VAR and the referees manage our opponents and how they manage us.”he initially said.

For Keziora and Jima: “Keziora made his debut as a starter today, he has played again. I am happy for both of them, they played and scored. Keziora we knew he would increase the competition, it is better to have more players on the roster. I’m happy for him like everyone else, he’s got a huge future but it’s important to leave him alone, calm down and improve things in the game.”

To conclude: “The reason why I am talking about arbitration today is obvious. All our goals that were normal were checked for a minute each and I was thinking where was the VAR in Tripoli, Ioannina and other matches. Mistakes have been made in others, but these are the most recent, and I am mentioning them. Today’s match gave me the trigger to talk about it.”
