According to them, the matches of teams that have cases will be postponed and will not be zero, as was the case until now. It has not been clarified, of course, whether there will be any change for the teams that have lost matches so far due to incidents, such as AEK, AO Thiras and Pannaxiakos.
In detail, the announcement:
«The Board of EOPE approved, in its last meeting, amendments to the Health Competition Protocol that will apply to ALL Championships, regardless of whether they are held in Phases or not.
-In case a match / matches of the Championships can not be held in accordance with the provisions of the Volleyball Competitive Health Protocol, then the match (or the next matches) are postponed and set / set on a new date. If in the team are detected 4 or more new cases in athletes (cumulative) who had participated in previous matches and during the last two pre-match checks, then the next match is not held for which the provisions of the Special Announcement of the championship apply, as it is in each case.
-In case of application of the Volleyball Competitive Health Protocol for suspension of group training due to covid-19 cases (if in the team are detected 5 or more new cases in athletes in two consecutive tests, then the group training is suspended for 5 days -continued Athletes return to group training after a negative molecular test (PCR) on the 5th day after the date of the last case). The process continues as before the occurrence of cases, with the weekly check. During this period, no matches of the team of the specific Association are held
-Playing of a match is given, at the request of the club and in case the number of cases covid-19 (new cases and athletes who are already in quarantine due to illness) does not allow nine (9) athletes to register on the Match Sheet. For the calculation of the athletes, only those athletes are taken into account in the Match Sheet in a percentage of at least 50% of the previous games of the team that is playing in the championship of the current season “.
