Prohibition of organized movement of PAOK fans in Lamia

Ghoul and PAOK cross swords on Wednesday night (08/03, 19:00), for the first meeting between them in the semi-finals of Novibet Cup.

With a statement issued by General Regional Police Directorate of Central Greece and after a decision of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, organized movement is prohibited of PAOK fans to the Municipal Stadium of Lamia.

The Police announcement in detail:



“Ahead of the football match, which will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 19:00 at the Municipal Sports Center (MAC) of Lamia, between the P.A.E. teams. PAS LAMIA 1964 – P.A.E. PAOK, from the General Regional Police Directorate of Central Greece, the following is announced:

With a Decision issued by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the organized movement of P.A.E. fans is prohibited. PAOK, for serious reasons to preserve public order and security.

Fans who do not have a ticket are requested not to come to the stadium, because on the day of the match the ticket offices of the stadium will remain closed, as well as to avoid unnecessary inconvenience to both themselves and the fans who have a ticket.

It is emphasized that, according to the Decision of the Fthiotida Police Department, it is prohibited:

Possession of bottled water, soft drinks, juices and other beverages in glass, metal, etc. packaging, except plastic and paper.

-The possession and posting of banners or placards with provocative or abusive content.

Also, on the day of the match, temporary traffic regulations will be applied, and in particular, a ban on the parking of vehicles, as well as a stoppage of traffic, from 16:00 until one hour after the end of the football match, as follows:

-On Fleming Street (from its junction with Erythrou Stavrou Street, to its junction with Malamida Street) and

on Erythrou Stavrou Street (from its junction with Fleming Street, to its junction with K. Palamas Street).

-During traffic stoppages, vehicle traffic will be diverted through alternative roads with appropriate signage.

It is noted that police forces will be deployed around the perimeter of the sports facility, which will carry out pre-checks. For this reason, spectators are requested to arrive at the stadium on time and to be equipped with a ticket and an identity document (police ID or passport – originals), in order to carry out the prescribed controls, in order to avoid their unnecessary suffering”.
