He made a coup, but Prometheus could not stand in Ankara

Even if it tied from -17 in the third period, Prometheus lost in Ankara to the strong Ankara 75-85 for the 15th matchday of the Euro Cup and reached 9-6 its record in the second group of the competition, with the Turks they move to 10-5 in second place in the group.

The match

Trailing 4-11 in the first five minutes of the third period, Prometheus cut to 54-49 on three consecutive 3-pointers by Kulboka, who reached 20 points in that span. With a 7-0 run and Kondit as the star player, Prometheus tied the game at 56-56, taking advantage of the Turks’ many steals and mistakes, respectively, and their surprises, which led to easy shots. A 4-0 run by Ankara made it 60-56 and the quarter ended 60-58 with Kondit.

A 5-0 run by Ankara at the start of the fourth quarter made it 65-58 and the Turkish team maintained +4 to +6 in that period after Kulboka was stopped from scoring from the perimeter. Grant took the situation into his own hands and initially led himself 69-61 and helped for 73-64 due to the poor defense of Prometheus in the racket. A 4-0 run by the players of Yannis Christopoulos reduced the score to 73-68. Ankara responded with its own 5-0 for +10 to the fatigue of the Greek team and the difference now went to +9 to +11 for the Ankara team for the final 85-75.
