Statement by the president of PAE Chania, Antonis Rokakis. We filed today, at the competent EPO Arbitration Court, an urgent appeal against the validity of yesterday’s appointments in Super League 2.
We denounce a series of irregularities, including the illegal participation of PAE Apollon Larissa, which should have been expelled from the league and the SL2 Board of Directors long ago, due to non-compliance with decisions to pay monetary compensation to football players.
I want to thank from the bottom of my heart the PAE representatives who honored me with their vote, all together supporting the necessary effort to bring to our league – as it deserves – a completely different and modern operation, regaining its lost credibility.
I also understand those who did not support us at the last moment, bending to all kinds of pressures that were put on them. I pledge that, with the vindication of our appeal and the forthcoming regular elections, this gloomy climate that existed will be a thing of the past – definitively and irreversibly.
