Victory with which Sezio Scariolo’s team improved their record in 13-15, approaching the top eight from which there is only one win difference!

The match:
THE Alba Berlin she entered the match very well and thanks to her good defense she took the lead 6-0 in 3′. As time went on, Virtus Bologna found rhythm on both ends of the floor, with Teodosic and Mickey Jordan connecting with the opposing basket to overtake the Italians (12-13 at 6′). In fact, with a 9-2 run in the last three minutes, the guests closed the first quarter at +8 for 22-14.
Virtus seemed to be better on the floor of the “Mercedes-Benz Arena”, finding solutions in the attack from many of its players. Thanks to this versatility, Sergio Scariolo’s team consistently kept the difference in double digits (31-43 at 18′), with the three consecutive three-pointers by Teodosic and Miki at the end of the period, increasing the difference at +16 and 49-33 at halftime.
With acquired speed they also entered the second half the Italians, who continued to perform at high rates and with great consistency behind 6.75m, in contrast to the Germans who were unable to keep up with the frantic pace of their opponents. With Teodosic in the… twilight zone and hitting two back to back 3-pointers, Virtus took the lead for the first time with +20 (54-74), closing the third period with score 77-59.
Essentially everything had been decided, with Alba clearly disappointed to wait… desperately for the end of the match. Virtus, who did not leave the foot off the “gas”, raised the difference up to +30 (63-93), with the game ending with score 96-74.
The quarters: 14-22, 33-49, 59-77, 74-96.
