In her ability AEK to open the difference from him Olympic stood before the derby o Paolo Fernandez.

In his statements to Cosmote TV ahead of the derby, the Spaniard underlined this rating interesting, however he emphasized that Sunday’s derby has extra importance for the “Union”.

Analytically what he said:

On whether the derby with Olympiakos means something more than three points: “It is something more. I believe that apart from a victory, it can mean something more. We have the opportunity to be able to open the gap with Olympiakos, in view of the play-offs. But what I think is that in a derby there is definitely the interest in the points, but there is always something else”.

Regarding the fact that AEK even in derbies tries to impose its own game: “Yes, it is something that is true. I think we’ve shown that throughout the championship. That we want to play our own style of play. We will try to do the same now, we want to be protagonists, it’s something we like.”

On how it feels, given it’s coming off an injury: “Good, very good. Certainly after six weeks away, it takes a while to get into a rhythm. But in general I feel very good”.

For Olympiakos: “Obviously it’s a great team. It has a wide roster. But what interests us is to be able to play our own game. Let’s have the performance we want and get the three points.”
