Terzis: “We understood what went wrong with Lamia”

by

The coach of Tolis Terzis mentioned the mistakes made in the game against Lamia that played a role in the defeat of Aris. In statements to Nova’s camera, he emphasized that what went wrong has been discussed in the team and he expects a different picture in the match against PAS Ioannina next week.

What the “yellow and black” coach told Nova in detail:

For the Lamia game:

“We had a bad first half, maybe because we weren’t focused from the start. We made mistakes that are not allowed for our own players to make. We cleared our minds after that, we also changed the formation, we pressed and tried to equalize. In the second half we had 73% possession and several good chances, but unfortunately we couldn’t score. We discussed with the players what happened in Lamia. We understand what went wrong and we believe we will fix it.”

For the fact that he lost points with the last three in the standings, in their seats:

“We always have to go into games focused, no matter who our opponent is. And concentration, we must have all week, not to be relaxed with whoever we play…”.

For the game against PAS Ioannina:

“PAS Ioannina is a very good team. He has had an excellent second round. Her coach, Mr. Staikos, has done a very good job. We have analyzed our opponent and I hope we will manage to beat him.”

What Mars should watch out for:

“PAS Ioannina is a tight team, in terms of the way they defend, while they are also good on the counter attack. These are points that we must pay attention to.”

On the importance of Sunday’s win going forward:

“First of all, the game is very important, because we have to react after the defeat we had in Lamia. We want the team to perform well and get the three points. Then we will prepare for the play-offs”.

About his absences and plans:

“We discussed with Lucas Rupp and decided that it is better not to risk any recurrence of his injury by participating in the match against PAS Ioannina. We said he better be ready by next Monday for the playoffs. There will certainly be changes in midfield, as well as in defence, where Moses Odubajo will be missing. However, I believe we will be good against PAS Ioannina”.
