Nikolakopoulos: “I was expecting the double, Olympiacos had a lead yesterday and didn’t have a goal”

His own comment on his victory Olympiakou against AEK in New Philadelphia, in the final of the regular season of the championship, he did Kostas Nikolakopoulos to News Bulletin 247.

Initially, the team’s reporter called the “double” in New Philadelphia above all a psychological victory, because the entire Olympiakos family needed it. Marinakis, the world and above all the players themselves.

He then underlined how he expected yesterday’s win and explained in detail why he believed Olympiacos would win (unlike all the betting companies that bet on AEK), as he instead believed the team would lose in the previous Cup game.

He emphasized, in fact, that the difference compared to the other derbies he did not win, was essentially one: that Bakabou was really a center forward for Olympiakos and he did all the “damage” to AEK.

He praised Fortunis, Paschalakis, Doi, Ba and commented that all the “red and white” were… warriors and Mitchell a coach who had prepared a team to fight a big battle.

He commented, at the same time, that the victory for which luck was needed after the terrible bad luck that Olympiacos had in all the previous derbies takes on other dimensions, because it happened with a referee against him from the first literally minute, which was gone and… sold chumps to Bakabu.

And he ended by saying that it would be wishful thinking for Olympiakos if they didn’t start the playoffs with a derby, because on Sunday they will be missing important players (Huang, Embila, Biel), while possibly getting injured in yesterday’s game.
