Conference League: Pavlidis and Hatzidiakos await Lazio, historic exit for AEK Larnaca

by

Seven tickets to his quarterfinals Conference League they will find out their owner tonight after the end of tonight’s rematches, with the Greek element being strong!

After the emphatic qualification of Ghent at the home of Basaksehir, Alkmaar of Vangelis Pavlidis and his Panteli Hatzidiakou wants to “double” the victories against Lazio after that 2-1 in Rome and be in the quarterfinals. The two Greek internationals played an excellent match at the “Olympic” but they will have to withstand the pressure as their team will be deprived of the services of Bazour, while the participation of Martins-Edy, Wadhausen and De Wit is also doubtful. On the other hand, Maurizio Sarrihe will not have at his disposal the leader and first “cannon” of the team, Ciro Immobile.

Greek interest is also found in Turkey with their Sivaspor Dimitris Gouta and Hari Harisi to look for the upset against Fiorentina after the 1-0 at “Artemio Franki”. The hosts showed an excellent face in the first match and will try to get the qualification for the quarter-finals of a European institution for the first time in their history.

In London, West Ham welcomes her AEK Larnaca after the 2-0 in favor of the “hammers” in Cyprus. The qualification is likely to go to the Londoners, however the exit of the Cypriot team in the capital of England is, if nothing else, historic as it is expected to close a dream European trip. Jose Luis Oltra’s team will compete at London’s Olympic Stadium without the injured Bruno Gama, while David Moges’ will be without Czufal, Downes and Fabianski.

In the other two matches, Slovan Bratislava and Basel will settle their differences after and 2-2 of Switzerland, while Villarreal will welcome “stubborn” Anderlecht after the 1-1 in Belgium.
