AEK: Last 0-0 in New Philadelphia, since 1995 and 130 games later!

AEK’s derby with Panathinaikos for the 1st game in its playoffs Stoiximan Super League it came tied and scoreless, something that was to happen for many years at the home of the Union in New Philadelphia.

Specifically, on May 28, 1995, the “yellow and black” welcomed him Ionic a game that ended 0-0 and was the last time before yesterday (19/03), 28 years and 130 games later.

In this series of matches, 119 are at the old ground, where they have recorded 102 wins, there are 7 draws and 10 defeats, while this season there have been 11 more matches with goals. At the new stadium they had 10 wins and one loss against Olympiakos in the last matchday of the regular season of the Stoiximan Super League Championship.

In total in this 130 game run they failed to score in only four matches. The most often scored was 2-0 which has been recorded 20 times, followed by 3-0 with 16 appearances.

The last 0-0 in a derby in New Philadelphia was on September 9, 1991, again against Panathinaikos.

AEK returned to its physical home and to the new stadium after 19 years 5 months and 13 days. Its last game in New Philadelphia was 4-0 against Aris on May 3, 2003 and the first in the new stadium on October 3, 2022 AEK – Ionikos 4-1.
