AEK with Hapoel Jerusalem in the playoffs of the Basketball Champions League

Against Hapoel Jerusalem will claim the AEK the qualification to Final 4 of the Basketball Champions League. In the draw which took place shortly after 11:30 in Switzerland, the draw pitted the ‘Union’ against the Israel team, with Bonn and Tenerife the other two possible opponents.

The couples in detail:

Bonn (Germany)-Strasbourg (France)

Hapoel Jerusalem (Israel)-AEK

Tenerife (Spain)-Manresa (Spain)

Malaga (Spain)-Murcia (Spain)

The playoff series are judged on the two wins. The first matches will be played April 4-5 at the seat of those who have an advantage, the latter April 11-12 at the headquarters of those with a disadvantage and third parties (if needed) April 18-19 at the seat of those who have an advantage.

The Final 4 is scheduled to take place on May 12 and 14 and AEK are vying to host it, along with Malaga and Jerusalem.

The draw was made by the Lithuanian former player of AEK (and Panathinaikos) Jonas Matsioulis and the Spanish former international, Fran Vasquez.

The CEO of BCL, Patrick Komninos, emphasized that “… over 500,000 spectators watched the matches in person and over 40 million televised the round of 16” adding that “… the level of competition was very high and the interest was very high until the last matchday».
