The next S/K n academy of the “greens” organizes a two-day information day about him autism.
The relative announcement states:
“On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day on Sunday, April 2, 2023PAO BC Academy is organizing two days of actions for the Information and Awareness of the Academy’s athletes.
THE Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a lifelong neurobiological developmental disorder. It can be safely diagnosed from the 3rd year of a child’s age.
With recent data there are approx 150,000 registered people in Greece who belong to the Autism spectrum. Children with autism take over the 2.5% of the general population. This percentage is important enough to motivate us.
The PAO BC Academy ASD program (Autism Spectrum Disorder) is a unique initiative under its auspices PAO BC Academy. It is integrated into the core operation of its Academies KAE Panathinaikos.
It’s about first program of constant and systematic training in a team sport, which has been operating since 2018 and is aimed at people who belong to the autism spectrum.
The two days of Information & Awareness has as its goal update of the children and parents of our academy, so that they can to RECOGNIZE, UNDERSTAND but also ACCEPT the diversity and uniqueness of these children. In this way, inclusion and integration into society as a whole is effectively achieved.
