Valtteri Bottas, from Mercedes, secured pole position at the Mexican GP in the qualifying practice held this Saturday (6).
The pilot completed the fastest lap with 1min15s875. His Mercedes partner Lewis Hamilton scored 1min16s020 and will start in second place.
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, leader of the Worlds, will come out in third. Mexican Sergio Perez starts in fourth place.
A few minutes after the start of practice, Lance Stroll hit the protective barrier on the pit straight and the practice was interrupted.
The Mexico GP takes place this Sunday (7) from 4 pm at the Hermanos Rodriguez racetrack, in Mexico City. The proof will be broadcast by Band.
Verstappen is in first place in the Drivers’ World Championship, with 287.5 points, followed by Lewis Hamilton, who has 275.5 points. Bottas has 185 points and is third in the ranking.
