Exciting moments in Wembley before the start of the match England-Ukraine!
A few minutes before kick-off in the third group match of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, the players of both teams lined up in the center of the pitch, raising the visitors’ flag on which was written the word “Irene”.
In fact, during the playing of the national anthems of the two countries, the Ukrainian football players wore the flags of their country on their shoulders, wanting to send a resounding message requesting the ending the war which has been raging for a year with Russia.
Central figures, from the side of the Ukrainians, were Mykhailo Mudrik, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Vitaly Mikolenko, who play in the Premier League with the shirts of Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton respectively.
