THE Panathinaikos host Bayern tonight (20:30) for matchday 31 of the EuroLeague, with Bavarian coach Andrea Trinchieri without a single win in five games in the OAKA.
The Italian coach has visited the headquarters of the “greens” with three different teams, but without achieving victory in five matches.
Initially as her coach Cantu in October 2012 it was defeated with a score of 78-76 with Panathinaikos having Argyris Pedoulakis on the bench. Five years later, the former coach of the Greek national team was again at OAKA, this time with Bamberg. In February 2017, he experienced the defeat by the “clover” with a score of 81-72. The third defeat came just 8 months later with a score of 93-83 in one of the first matches of the new season.
Arriving at Bayern, where he is to this day, already counts two defeats. The 52-year-old faced Giorgos Vovoras’ team in November 2020, and was defeated once again by a score of 83-76. In March 2022 we arrive at Trinchieri’s fifth and last loss to OAKA, 80-67.
A year later, Panathinaikos will try to extend the streak against the Italian coach, who will undoubtedly look for a reaction to end the curse of OAKA.
