It is characteristic, in fact, that the specific referee first contacted Steve Bennett by textwriting to him among other things: “Me and my team are ready to come»i.e. “Me and my team are ready to come». Bennett, who, it should be noted here, he did not know him personallyanswered him on the one hand that he has already found a referee for the Faliros match and on the other hand that it is not possible to do such a thing, because it is illegal! At the meeting, in fact, the Englishman said verbatim to the “six”: “This referee’s career will be over»!

The incredible, however, is another. After Bennett’s initial “no” and after being informed that KED had already found a referee for Olympiacos-PAOK, he called the English referee and asked him to replace him and put this one! Bennett, however, made it clear to him again that the definition cannot be changed, since his federation has also declared the availability of its referee for another date and subsequently informed both his own federation and UEFA. And as we mentioned above, UEFA chief refereeRoberto Rosetti, has already been informed about it and it is expected that this referee will be sidelined at least until the end of the season and… we’ll see!

It should be noted here that Bennett has not revealed to almost anyone who the referee is! However, he belongs to a federation, which has agreed to send referees to Greece… It is of great interest, as can be seen, to find out his name, if he has come to Greece again and, above all, what all this… premura to be at Olympiacos-PAOK next Sunday.
