Any hopes we had of seeing a competitive final in Ligue 1 are dwindling, as the Marseille was stuck at 1-1 with Montpellier at home and missed out on being -4 behind Paris Saint-Germain – with Lance able to catch them into 2nd place with a win against Rennes.
The visitors shocked the Marseilles by taking the lead with his curling shot Norden at 12′, with Geduzi to equalize the match with a well-placed penalty kick in the 44th minute.
Igor Tudor’s team had the initiative of the moves in the second half but failed to complete the turnaround.
