Hugging first place, the Bucks defeated the Sixers with a terrific Antetokounmpo

One breath away from securing first place, which would give them absolute home court advantage all the way to the NBA Finals, the Bucks. Mike Budenholzer’s team prevailed 117-104 of the Sixers in Milwaukee and went up to 56-22, leaving the Celtics at 54-24.

THE John Antetokounmpo had a great showing showing his teeth against the MVP favorite, Joel Embiid. The Greek Freak had 33 points on 7/13 shooting, 13/16 2-pointers and 0/1 3-pointers, as well as 14 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal and 3 turnovers in 32 minutes. Supporting the 28-year-old superstar were Brook Lopez with 21 points, Khris Middleton with 19 and Jrue Holiday and Bobby Portis who each had 18. Tyrese Maxey had 29 points and stood out for the Sixers, while Joel Embiid had 28 but with just 11/25 shooting (1/7 3-pointers).

The Bucks got off to an impressive start going up 31-15 and starting on 12/13 shooting. They never lost the lead and even though they lost Grayson Allen to a sprain in the third quarter, they were never threatened by Philadelphia, getting close to first place with four games left in the regular season.
