The great victory of AEK over PAOK in Toumba was commented on the Monday FC show on Nova by Demis Nikolaidisemphasizing that if he wins the next two matches, he is the absolute favorite for the title.

“If AEK beats Volos and Aris, it will be the strongest favorite for the championship. The victory in Toumba is the biggest in the league and might decide the title. AEK showed in Toumba that they are mentally more ready, they are better than everyone except for the competitive part. Things can be seen from the 4th matchday even though AEK has four derbies after that. If he gets two wins, then the chances of him losing the championship will be slim. Everything will always be open,” he said initially.

“AEK entered the second round to win the match and not to ruin the PAOK match, even though they knew that PAO had stayed in X and possibly wanted a draw. AEK came in to play their game. The result is fair. AEK entered as if they were playing at home, they entered to play their game and that’s what they did,” he added.

For his goal Sergio Araujo he said: “Araujo’s goal is a painting. The goal scored by Araujo doesn’t remind me of me. I may have put. But it’s Araujo-style goals,” while for his assist Petros Mandalosadded:

“Mandalos is a rare player, there is no other player who makes such amazing balls in AEK”.

As far as disallowed goal in the seventh minute, he said: “I was looking to find out why the goal was disallowed and I believe that even Kulbakov doesn’t know why he disallowed the goal. I started to worry about what will happen this year, given the bad refereeing in the AEK – Panathinaikos match.”

Finally, about PAOK’s image, he said: “He was not good. He didn’t have enough players on a good day. Yesterday Augusto was out of the game because of his nerves. The best player of PAOK was Zivkovic, everything was expected from him”.
