Twenty coach changes and 17 different faces at Olympiakos during the Marinaki era

Jose Anigo took over to lead Olympiakos, after the resignation of Mitchell from the “red and white” bench.

The French coach – who was already part of Piraeus’ technical staff as technical director and in charge of the academies – will become the 17th person to take charge of the team since 2010, when the Marinaki era began.

Specifically, the latter In 13 years there have been twenty coach changes. Antonis Nikopolidis, Christos Kontis (as officials), Takis Lemonis and Mitchell have sat on the bench twice.

The longest-serving (of the Marinaki era but also in the history of the club) is Pedro Martins, who spent four years on the “red and white” bench.

He is followed (for the last 13 years) by Mitchell in his first term (almost two years) and Ernesto Valverde, who counted a few days less than his compatriot).
