Him Maki Angelopoulos was received today (04/04) by the Patriarch of Jerusalem and All Palestine Theophilos III at the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, on the day of the first match of AEK with the Hapoel Jerusalem.
In addition to the KAE AEK delegation, the Mayor of Nea Philadelphia was also present at the meeting, Yannis Vouros.

This morning, April 4th, His Holiness Makariotis, the Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and all Palestine, Mr. Theophilos III, received at the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, the administrative leader of AEK BC, Mr. Makis Angelopoulos, who was accompanied by a delegation of AEK BC and the Mayor of Nea Philadelphia/New Chalcedon, Mr. Yiannis Vouros.
Our delegation was welcomed and guided to the Holy Land, for one more year, by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Capitolias, Mr. Hesychios.
Mr. Angelopoulos handed over a jersey of the “Queen” with the symbolic number 1 and the name of Makariotatos, as well as a DVD of the movie “1968”, the script of which is directly connected to today’s historical anniversary. Collectibles of our Group were delivered to His Holiness Mr. Issychios.
His Beatitude delivered an extremely precious icon of the Mother of God and our God-man Jesus Christ, as well as icons and holy souvenirs throughout the “yellow and black” mission.
