Kimmich: “We need to play with more passion and turn our anger into will”

by

Statements after the hopeless elimination of Bayern Munich by Freiburg in the German Cup were made by Joshua Kimmichopenly expressing his irritation with the final result.

The 28-year-old captain of the German champions emphasized that his team often plays without the necessary passion, while he added that the anger that exists must be turned into will, in view of the battle for the championship and the Champions League.

What the Bayern Munich player said in detail:

“I’m very upset, because we lost a title. This hurts us a lot, especially when we think about how we were eliminated in the previous two seasons. In general, we lose a lot of games that we were ahead of. Days like this hurt a lot and I fight with myself not to go completely crazy and lose my temper.”

“I think a lot of times we play without passion. We are not able to lock down games and get the wins. Against Freiburg we had great chances to score and that should be enough to qualify. Now, we must turn our anger into passion and will. Our goal should be to play with more emotion.”
