After three years in England and Manchester United, Van de Beek is one step away from leaving and returning to Ajax.
Although his contract expires in 2025, Van de Beek is an outsider at United and will have to look for the next stop in his career, which will likely be Ajax. The Dutch are very familiar with the 25-year-old midfielder who stayed with the Dutch from 2015 until 2020.
United had spent 40 million to acquire him, with his salary being 120,000 euros per week. After three years of decline in Manchester, he is priced at 25 million.
So if Ajax decides to make him theirs, they will gain 15 million from the player’s coming and going.
Van de Beek has made 10 appearances this year – just 4 as a starter – and will be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. In 2021 he was loaned to Everton but another injury forced him to play just 7 times for the blues.
The Dutchman has made 175 appearances for Ajax scoring 41 goals and 34 assists, having also won a Dutch league.
