For one more year, Wes Anseld Jr. will be the head of the Wizardsas reported by “Athletic”.
“He is our coach and we are moving forward,” team president and general manager Tommy Shepard said Tuesday.
His contract with Washington runs until 2024/25.
Wes Anseld hired by Sheppard in 2021but Washington had a negative record with him on the bench.
Sheppard, for his part, he showed his confidence in the person of Anseld Junioras he stated that he faced many problems that he could not manage himself, such as injuries to key players of the team.
Bradley Beal, the Wizards’ top player and holder of one of the NBA’s biggest contracts, missed half of last season and is now on track to return to action.
Also, Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzings were from the team’s significant lossesafter only managing to play in 35 games this season, posting a 16-19 record with those available again. Their current record is 34-35 and are in 12th place in the Western region.
