Today, Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at around 12:10 a group of about 35 people left the Athens University of Economics and Business and set fire to bins, which they used as a roadblock along with other objects.
At around 12:30 and while a clear order had been given by the Immediate Action Center that no patrol cars would pass through the area, an Immediate Action vehicle with a crew of three police officers was attacked by the above persons with stones, shards and other objects. resulting in damage to the vehicle.
Two of the police officers were immediately removed from the vehicle, however the third was trapped and used his service weapon by throwing it into the air.
The policeman who shot was arrested and a relevant criminal case is being filed against him by the Attica Security Directorate.

What happened
