Do or die for staying in Basketball League is the match against Ionikos (8/4, 19:15) for the Carditsa in the context of the 22nd and last game of the championship.
A little 24 hours before the match, the general manager of KAE A.S. sent the “password” to stay. Karditsa, Christos Deligiannis, the team’s coach, Nikos Papanikolopoulos and the captain, Giannis Athenaiou.
In their statements they referred, as was expected, to the need to fill the “Yiannis Bourousis” indoor gym for the fans to push the players towards the important victory.

The general manager of Karditsa Christos Deligiannis said: “After a very difficult year, the championship comes to an end and on Saturday we have before us the time of the final stay. A “final” which will be given between A.S. Karditsa ORGANIC VILLAGE and the Ionian team for who will remain in the category. The effort made by the team was huge all year and what we want is to close this season with a big victory that will keep us in the Basket League. The coach of Karditsa, Nikos Papanikolopoulos pointed out: “It is the last game of the year and the last game at home against the opponent who is also claiming to stay in the division. I think that in a difficult year, with injuries and many difficulties for the team, we brought the situation to where we want, in a game at home, so that we can win and celebrate together staying in the division. We know it will be a tough game. Even scouting the opponents is difficult, due to the recent additions and removals, but I think the team will be ready for a very strong game on Saturday».
Finally, Giannis Athenaiou sent a message to the world: “A difficult year for all of us is coming to an end. The goal of the stay will be decided on Saturday against Ionikos. We want you all by our side to celebrate this long-awaited goal together».
