THE EPO proceeded to substitute referees for the game AEK-Aris after reports circulated that the Poles originally appointed were drunk and caused an incident on the flight and at the airport. Such a thing is not confirmed by the report by News Bulletin 247 while it is categorically denied by the head of the arbitration team, Pavel Ratzkowski.
The KED appointed in this particular match the Aristotle Diamantopoulos (he was fourth in the initial definitions with the Poles), with assistants Reichard Buxbaum and Tryfona Petropoulos, while Angelos Evangelou will be in VAR with assistant Andreas Fotopoulos and fourth Christos Vergetis.
