The Cypriot Police announced the exclusion from the sports grounds – until the cases concerning them are adjudicated – for the seven arrested at APOEL-Apollo Limassol.

“In registering before the District Court of Nicosia for immediate adjudication of three cases concerning the legislation for the prevention and suppression of violence in sports venues, with seven accused persons, the Police proceeded.
With the registration of the three cases for trial, the District Court ordered that the seven defendants be released, with conditions ensuring their presence at the next trial. At the same time, at the request of the Police, the Court issued decrees excluding the seven accused persons from the sports grounds, until the cases concerning them are adjudicated.
The seven persons were arrested yesterday by members of the Police, during controls that were carried out before the start of the football match that took place at the GSP stadium, in Nicosia, between APOEL and APOLLO.
Four of the seven persons, a 29-year-old, a 31-year-old and two 25-year-old men, were arrested when, during a check carried out after the vehicle they were driving was stopped in the area of ​​the GSP stadium, a bag containing 10 flares was found in the vehicle, allegedly belonged to the 29-year-old driver of the vehicle, a bag containing a flare, a hood and two crackers with traces of cannabis, allegedly belonging to one 25-year-old, a bag containing smoke and two flares, allegedly belonging to the second 25-year-old, and a folding bat, which allegedly belonged to the 31-year-old.
Another two of the seven persons, men aged 21, were arrested during a check that also took place after the vehicle they were driving was stopped in the area of ​​the GSP stadium. A bag containing five hoodies, a collapsible bat, two iron fists, two spray paints, and two torches was found in the vehicle, allegedly belonging to the 21-year-old driver of the vehicle. 11 firecrackers were found in the possession of the second 21-year-old.
The seventh person, a 24-year-old man, was arrested when a 90-centimeter-long piece of wood was found inside the vehicle during a check on the vehicle he was driving, in the area of ​​the GSP stadium.
