For his last match this year Euroleague Panathinaikos left, which will face Partizan in Belgrade on Friday (21:30, NovaSports Prime).
THE Christos Serelis spoke about this upcoming match, stressing that despite the lack of scoring motivation, the “greens” must be competitive in order to properly prepare for the Basket League playoffs.
What he said in detail:
“It is a very bad season for Panathinaikos. Under no circumstances should the team be indifferent, we must be competitive. It’s the last matchday of the Euroleague and we have to be ready to play a tough game. Especially in Belgrade and in this game Partizan needs it. It’s a game that can help us in the Basket League playoffs. We have worked these three days and after the game with Peristeri. We have worked on things, which we will use to follow them in the future as well.”
For the formations he is considering applying next: “Of course it is, we are trying to see the formations that we will play in the Greek league. Whatever happens, whether good or bad, the bad must be avoided and only the good should be repeated.”
Regarding the continuation and playoffs of the Basket League: “Of course that happens, that’s one reason. In the last 40 days we had 15 games and Panathinaikos could not train at all. It is a given that we will have ups and downs in our performance. After the game with Peristeri we have started to see things in attack and defense. We are waiting after the game and with Partizan to put things on the floor to be ready for the playoffs.”
