According to a medical announcement issued a while ago, the state of health of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi continues to improve.

More specifically, as stated in the announcement, “in the last thirty-six hours, a further improvement in the functioning of the patient’s respiratory system and kidneys” was observed, with a parallel reduction in white blood cells (which in the past days were particularly elevated) and a reduction in the infection of the lungs.

For now, “The Cavaliere” is set to remain in his intensive care unit hospital San Raffaele of Milan, to which he was admitted eight days ago.

“I want to tell you something completely spontaneous: I was impressed, once again, by the great effort my father is making to regain his strength,” the eldest son of the former Italian prime minister, Piersilvio Berlusconi, told reporters.

He added that last night his father watched the Champions League soccer match, Milan-Napoli, on TV.

And the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, underlined: “On May 5 and 6 we will organize a large gathering of our party, Forza Italia, in Milan. We hope that Silvio Berlusconi will be with us, on the platform.”
