THE Vasiliki Millousi sent a great message just by participating in the European Gymnastics Championships, as well returned to action after 4.5 years and after interceding the two children she brought into the world with her husband, Lefteri Petrounia.
The great athlete was chosen by the European Gymnastics Federation for the honorary SmartScoring Shooting Star Awardwhile a similar award was given to Slovakian Matej Nemcovic, who was selected among the athletes in the men’s category as role model.
The “SmartScoring Shooting Star Award” was established in 2018 and aims to highlight sportsmen and women who have a special story to tell and who are a source of inspiration for the next generation of athletes but also for the general public.
“Vasiliki is living proof that gymnastics is not just a sport for teenage gymnasts, but for adults as well, and for moms who set goals and aren’t afraid to chase them. She is an inspiration to the entire international fitness community!“, European Gymnastics said characteristically in the Press Release it issued after the award of the Greek athlete.
