An incredible as well as rare incident took place in a match local league in Spain on Saturday afternoon.
Specifically, during the match between Cadiz Mirandia and the San Roque for the fourth group of the country’s Fourth Division, millions of mosquitoes made their appearance on the field, reducing visibility and causing confusion to players and fans!
It was so… eerie, but also so foreign, that at first, everyone on and off the pitch, thought it was just a cloud that went down low.
However, the reality was different, with millions of insects swarming the area, which resulted in the referee stop the match permanently just in the 40th minute of the match and the players running to the locker room.
In fact, many of them had to use it eye dropsas the bites, but also the dust that the insects brought with them, seems to have created a small allergic issue in some of them.
