THE Lionel Messi is in Barcelona for a few days of vacation and his presence alone in the Catalan capital was enough to fuel even more the rumors that in the summer he will return to Barcelona.
The Argentinian ace is keeping his cards under wraps for now, but his moves show that he is preparing the ground for the big comeback. “Leo” had dinner with him last night Sergio Busquets and the Jordi Alba, two of his closest friends and former teammates at “Barca”. In their company was Messi’s assistant, Pepe Costa, as well as the wives of all the footballers. The dinner took place in one of the most famous restaurants in Barcelona and ended shortly after one in the morning.
The Catalan press take for granted the return of the 35-year-old world champion to the team with which he grew up, but are not as sure about the stay of the two friends of Messi. Busquets has accepted a renewal offer but with significantly reduced wages, while Alba, despite having a contract until 2024, is open to leaving after losing his starting position.
