Stirling will offer 14 scholarships to students of African descent living in England

In a commendable move to help young people from low socio-economic backgrounds, the Raheem Sterling!

The English midfielder who maintains Foundation works with the Kings College of London and the University of Manchester to provide 14 scholarships to students of black African and Caribbean origin from poor families.

The first four scholarships, which will be split between King’s and Manchester, will be available for students starting courses in 2023/24. His purpose Sterling is equal access to higher education and the scholarship plan will last for the next three years.

About the collaboration, the 28-year-old international said:This opportunity will help young people gain access to higher education and introduce them to experiences and opportunities that will improve their future career prospects. I hope that this initiative will be a real game changer in the coming years and I am delighted to be working with two of the best universities in the world. I wish our funding recipients all the best and look forward to meeting them all on campus in Manchester and London later this year».
