No decision on Djokovic: Free… for now, he may be deported on Tuesday

by

Extension takes the thriller with Novak Djokovic and his stay or not in Australia for the Grand Slam starting on January 17th. After acquittal of Serbian tennis player for revoking his visa by a Melbourne court, the country’s Home Office and Immigration reserves the right to expel him from the country because he is unvaccinated.

The Australian government had four hours, after the court decision, to decide to keep “Nole” in custody, however this time expired on Monday night (Australian time) and the 34-year-old is free to release. However, as reported in the country’s media, the Australian government may decide to cancel Djokovic’s visa on Tuesday forcing him to leave Melbourne and effectively deport him.

Earlier, the athlete’s father and brother, speaking to Serbian media, had announced that they were informed that “Nole” is going to be arrested and deported, something that has not been confirmed by government circles in Australia who stressed that his case is still under investigation.

Many people were gathered outside the office of Djokovic’s lawyer, where the tennis player himself was. There was a strong police force and protesters, while shortly after 12:00 (Greece time) left a car with a lush glazed windows, which is probable that it was the “Nile”, with the audience to cry rhythmically and to request his Free release (“Free Nole”).
