In the Under-13 category at the Osijek junior table tennis tournament, the mixed Greece/Croatia team, who had qualified from the groups in the main draw, were beaten by Belgium 5-4 in a thrilling and hour-long quarter-final and placed 5 -6.

With the organizers’ new system for the A level board he came very close to the medals when he led 4-1, but then things turned out differently. The 13-year-olds Yiannis Kioseloglou and Konstantinos Alexoudis were in the team and worked extremely well with two Croatian girls.

In the Under 15 team category, Greece advanced to the final of the B level (B finals), defeating the mixed team of Germany/Croatia with 3-2 f. On Friday, the day the individual matches begin, they will play with the mixed team of Montenegro/Croatia for the first place on the particular board, i.e. the seventh place in the tournament. He competes with Giorgos Kosmas, Yiannis Koutras, Stella Mavromatakis and Georgia Spanou.

In the Under 13 category, Greece/Croatia entered the last 16 on Wednesday as runners-up in their group and on Thursday they faced Belgium, who had also advanced with second place from their group. The quarter-final was balanced and had fluctuations, with our two internationals and their very remarkable teammates giving everything to enter the top four and by extension the medals.

They started once again with a win in the mixed doubles, then went even better and made it 4-1, but in the end they bent the details at 5-4 and were eliminated. They showed that they deserved a place on the podium.

In the Under 15 category, Greece was eliminated from the main table with third place in its group. He went to the B level, immediately found himself in the top four and on Thursday afternoon he played an ambiguous match against the German/Croatian mixed team. They won the final with 3-2 sets and on Friday they meet the mixed Montenegrin/Croatian team for a prestigious first place on that board and seventh place in the tournament.
