Ferrari’s “little horse” is slowly waking up!
Making his best appearance this year, Mr Charles Leclerc celebrated his first on Friday afternoon pole position in the season, finishing with the best time in the qualifying tests at Baku Grand Prix!
The Monegasque Ferrari pilot proved once again that the Azerbaijan circuit suits him like a glove, winning his third consecutive pole position on the streets of Baku with a time of 1:40:203′!
In second place with a difference of 188 millimeters was the world champion and leader of this season after three races, Max Verstappen, with his teammate Sergio Perez completing the trio.
The top ten were completed by Carlos Sainz, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Lando Norris, Yuki Tsunoda, Lance Stroll and Oscar Piastri, with George Russell to fall victim of… surprise and stay in 11th place!
It is worth noting that in Q1 the race was stopped twice with Red flagdue to the expenses that Nick de Vries and Pierre Gasly had on the protective barriers.
Tomorrow, Saturday (29/04, 12:30) the first one will be held Sprint race of the season on the narrow streets of Baku, in a quite dangerous, but also spectacular race!
