Despite all that, Green said he couldn’t respect that the Lithuanian didn’t shake hands with him and his teammates after the series ended: “I lost a lot of respect for Domantas,” Green said, adding: “You don’t want to shake hands with opponents after you lose, I don’t respect that” and recalled a similar instance of his own against the Cavaliers:
“I once walked off the court when we lost in Game 7 to the Cleveland Cavaliers and I went into my locker room and sat down and said, “It doesn’t feel right.” And I came back to the field and showed everybody love. You lost, deal with it. Give your respect. This was bad for me. I don’t respect that” were the characteristic words of the 33-year-old American.
