Leeds United’s first team wanted to reach out to fans about yesterday’s match and subsequent social media posts.
First, the performance was not good enough. There is no other way to see it and the only way to answer is on the field. Leeds fans travel up and down the country in huge numbers and they deserve more than that.
What is equally disturbing to us as a team is the online video of us leaving the hotel. Words cannot express how sorry we are that the youngster in the video wearing a Leeds shirt doesn’t get more love from the team. On game day we do a walk around, before and after we stop for photos and autographs to make sure we interact with the fans and also make sure we’re on time when we leave for games. However, there is no excuse for not acknowledging fans and if the parents of the Leeds fan in the video could contact us we would be grateful.
We don’t think this fight is over and we will continue until the last ball is kicked this season. Thank you again for your support.
