Fears in Lithuania for the participation of Grigonis, Giedraitis and Lekavicius in the World Cup

Although we are several months away from the upcoming World Cup in 2023 in the ranks of Lithuania there is concern about the participation of Grigonis, Giedraitis and Lekavicius.

The Lithuanians have visions for the upcoming event due to the presence of NBAers Domantas Sabonis and Jonas Valanciunasbut the very possible absences of three Euroleague players create clouds around the team, a fact that is of immediate interest to the Greek National Team, as “Lithuania” will (logically) be their opponent in the second group phase.

The publication states that the players of Panathinaikos Baskonia and Zalgiris will probably not participate in the World Cup, while Martina Ehontas of Rita will be out as injured and Edgars Ulanova of Zalgiris for the second consecutive tournament.

Grigonis was the most influential with averages of 14.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Lekavicius scored 7.7 points and 2 assists per game with Giedraitis averaging 3 points.

Let’s remember that Lithuania has been drawn in the 4th group together with Mexico, Montenegro and Egypt, while in the second phase it is very likely to face the Greek National Team and the USA.
