Ivan Savvidis was sentenced after the hearing of the appeal at the Three-member Criminal Court of Thessaloniki.
The new decision was announced, according to which the owner of PAE PAOK was punished with eight months of suspended imprisonment, for entering the playing field with a weapon.
Let’s remember that the first court decision was for a 25 month suspended sentence.
Innocent for entering the PAOK-AEK pitch, Savvidis guilty for the weapon
The decisions of the Three-member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki became known after examining the appeal for the case of Ivan Savvidis and Loubos Michel entering the field of play, as well as the former’s possession of a weapon during the PAOK-AEK game in 2018.
Both Ivan Savvidis and the sports director of PAEK PAOK at that time were found not guilty, due to the change in the relevant law for their entry into the field of play. On the contrary, he was found guilty of having a gun on him, as although he had a license to carry a gun it is not allowed even in these cases to enter with any object likely to cause injury, and we now await the sentence for the possession of a gun.
We remind you that at first instance the president and owner of PAOK PAOK was sentenced to 25 months in prison and Loubos Michel to 10 months in prison. The remaining six, members of Savvidis’ guard who were also accused, had been acquitted.
