Informing about the loss of Souli Sabah, the Minister of Culture and Sports Lina Mendoni made the following statement:

“From her first appearance in the cinema, in 1955, as a gypsy in “Laterna, Ptocheia i Filotimo” by Alekos Sakellarios, Souli Sabah, with her strong personality and distinctive voice, stole the show from the film’s protagonists. For many more decades, she shared with the public her talent and bright smile, in musical theater, in comedy, on television, very often together with her life partner Dimitris Nikolaidis, with whom they were one of his favorite artistic couples Greek spectacle. Noble and charismatic, he is one of the figures who co-created the history of Greek comedy, which is still very popular with viewers of all ages. I express my sincere condolences to her family and friends.”

The Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports Nikolas Giatromanolakis made the following statement:

“The artist’s work is such that sooner or later you will feel lonely if you don’t have someone of your own in life. The artist struggles with his vanity, with his egos. And when the lights go out, then he realizes that his whole life was hanging on a stretched rope with no turning back” she said in one of her last interviews about the theater and the revue she loved so much. With her artistic nickname meaning “light of the dawn”, Souli Sabah illuminated Greek cinema and television with her talent for many decades, and remained beloved and popular among many different generations of viewers. Condolences to her family and many friends”
