Titles ending in a long career are expected to be put very soon by Keith Langford.
The 39-year-old American guard made the decision to retire from active duty after participating in the TBT tournament with Kasnas’ team, Mass Street.
With a lengthy announcement on twitter, her former ace AEK and his Panathinaikou announced his decision, sharing the thoughts and sacrifices he has made over the years on the floor with the sports fan world through an emotional message.
Keith Langford’s announcement in detail:
“In May 2022 I had an operation on my Achilles for a tendonitis that was bothering me and in the previous 10 months I tried to do my rehabilitation. It was an extremely demanding period, I was brought down by denial, anger, depression and negotiation.
After 17 years of basketball and 38 years of life, I selfishly denied the final stage of grief that I knew was ahead of me. The acceptance. I humbly accept the invitation to participate in the TBT tournament with the Mass Street team.
I am announcing my retirement from basketball with the circle closing to play one more time with Kansas. I have given everything to this sport, six knee operations, a broken leg and a nose…”
