Eleni Polak underwent an MRI scan last week, which showed that she has small hernias on her body and these cause the pain she feels in the middle.
The short-distance champion has already limited her training, something she is expected to do in the next period. At the same time, a treatment program will follow, which will reduce the problem he is facing.
“Eleni’s pains do not allow her to exercise normally. “There is not much we can do, first we will follow the recovery program recommended by the doctor and we will reduce the volume of training”, stressed the federal coach, Manolis Karagiannis, and added that:
“I still do not know what we will do with the winter games. We will assess the situation step by step. “Based on the planning we have done, the first race is on February 3 in Ostrava”.
The 25-year-old champion hopes to overcome the injury problem and be present at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade, March 18-20.
