Great “double” for Verona that… breathes

by

Double-six points for Hellas Verona.

Gaffaroni’s side, who were coming off a heavy 0-6 defeat at Inter Milan, prevailed 1-0 in the away derby with Lecce to claim their first win away from home in this season’s league. Until today, they were the only team from the 10 major leagues that did not have a “double” in the championship.

Ngonge scored the only goal of the match in the 70th minute, as the ball was countered by his long shot and ended up in the opposition net. The “Gialoblu” reached 30 points and were +3 from the danger zone. At the same time, they came within one point of their current opponent, while continuing the positive streak they have built, as they have not lost in their last seven meetings.
