He took the derby and cut his way Panathinaikou to the championship o Olympic.
The Piraeus prevailed 1-0 of the “clover” in the empty “C. Karaiskakis” thanks to a goal by Reabtsiuk and they sent AEK to the top, while they remained in 3rd place and go to a “final” with PAOK for the 3rd place in the curtain of the playoffs.
The only goal of the derby was scored by the Moldovan defender in 68′ after a turnover by the other fullback, Rodney. From a beam both teams had, with Embila catching a shot just outside the area sending the ball to the left of Brignoli in the 50′, while Bernard touched the goal in the 72′ with a shot to the right post of Tzolakis.
The “red and whites” finished the match with ten players. with Ramon rightly sent off in the 94th minuteas press Sarlia.
In the mind of the coaches
With 4-3-3 and the carbon eleven of the derby with AEK was lined up for Olympiakos by Anigo, with the initial formation being the same on 10/11. Tzolakis was under the posts, Rodinei and Reabchiuk the backs, while the stopper was Papastathopoulos, with Doi, who filled the void of the injured Ba. Embila, Samaseku and Huang were the trio in midfield, with Biel playing on the right and Fortounis on the left, while Bakabu was firmly at the top.
Jovanovic appeared loyal to 4-3-3. Brignoli in goal, Sanchez on the right instead of Kotsira and Juancar on the left, with Sarlia and Magnusson as the stoppers. Kourbelis and Ruben were joined by Cerin in the midfield, while Palacios and Bernard were on the “wings”, with Sporar moving up top.
The match
Panathinaikos tried to surprise Olympiakos with a “good morning” with Bernard’s long ball for Sporar with the cross of the match, but Doe “cleared”. Olympiacos, however, started better in the match, having the initiative of the movements, but the first threat came from the away side, with the hosts having incomplete efforts until that point. In the 11th minute, after the one-two between Bernard and Sporar, the Brazilian took a cross for Tserin, with Tzolakis reading the situation in time and collecting. Olympiacos found its first phase in the very next minute, with Bakabou taking after a mistake by Sanchez and giving it to Fortounis who preferred to break in Huang from shooting, with the Korean missing from the edge of the area.
The “clover” entered the area with claims in the 17th minute, after a mistake by Samasekos, but Bernard’s left-footed shot found Tzolakis on hand. Olympiacos had its first really good moment in the 23rd minute, with Huang piercing the “green” defense with a vertical shot, but Bakabou made a bad control and wasted the opportunity, giving Brignoli time to block. In the 31st minute, Huang shot with the left, the ball changed course due to a challenge on Sarlia and ended up just past Brignoli’s right post, on the outside of the net.
The effort by Palasios, Sporar and Sanchez was essentially left in the middle, after the three of them were delayed and the shot ended up wide without worrying Tzolakis in the 33rd minute. There wasn’t much going on until the break and the best that came was a shot from Huang that was blocked by Brignoli on 45’+1′, thus sealing a broadly balanced first half.
THE first intervention (unless it was a forced change) from the bench it was done by the “red whites”, with Anigo passing El Arabi in place of Bakabou. Olympiacos started the stronger and had the first good chance in the 49th minute, with Huang going on the counter and carrying the ball, but El Arabi confused him with his movement and then Fortounis found Reabciuk who caught a cross shot , sending the ball out. In the next minute, Piraeus made it 1-0, with Embilla playing a one-two with El Arabi and catching a shot just outside the area, which he found at his root left beam of Brignoli.
At that point, Panathinaikos woke up and turned the switch. In the 57th minute, Panathinaikos stepped into the Olympiakos area with claims, Palasios turned for Sporar, who bit the ball and fell to the ground after being marked by Doi. The visitors called for a penalty, but the referee signaled for the match to continue, after the relevant consultation with the VAR. Her his greatest phase until that point the “clover”, which had begun to heat up offensively, found it in the 59th minute, with Bernard breaking for Sporar, who shot almost from the height of the penalty and the ball took height (he seemed to counter to Papastathopoulos) and leave outside.
When Jovanovic freshened up his attack (Ioannidis and Mancini, instead of Sporar and Palasios), Olympiacos, which had begun to retreat, found the 1-0. The Piraeus started to feel the visitors more in their defense, but at the same time they saw the gaps left by the “clover”. Thus, in the 68th minute, after a quick counter-attack, the Piraeus took advantage of the quality of Rodinei, who made a turn from the right and Ryabchiuk was in a firing position, closely executing Brignoli.
Panathinaikos almost found the answer very quickly, with Ioannidis making a nice ball in the 72nd minute and Bernard executing by sending the ball on the right beam of Tzolakis. As time went on, it worked in favor of Olympiakos and against Panathinaikos, which began to be burdened on its backs. In the 80′, however, he found a phase with a shot in the movement of Kotsiras with Tzolakis blocking, while in the final stretch the “clover” created the conditions with some static phases, closing Olympiakos in his area. In the 89′ he threatened in a normal flow, with the shots from Ioannidis and Kleinheisler finding bodies.
In stoppage time no football was played, there was tension and nerves between players, with Ramon being sent off for pushing Sarlia. However, he had a great phase, with Panathinaikos coming within a breath of 1-1, with Kleinheisler maneuvering nicely, making a nice feint and placing in the opposite corner, sending the ball narrowly past Tzolakis’ left post, with this particular phase to be the epilogue of the match.
