by

THE Pep Guardiola spoke to ESPN and referred in the best words to Lionel Messias always.

The Catalan coach noted that he wants to see the Argentine again in Barcelona and argued that both the 35-year-old and Joan Laporta they will do everything to make this return happen.

“I’m a Barcelona fan, I have a ticket to the Camp Nou and I hope one day we can say goodbye to him as he deserves. He is the best player of all time. In the last 12 years or so, Barcelona has had an “explosion” and that wouldn’t have been possible without him. And I’m not talking about numbers, but about his involvement in the game, his beauty, his efficiency, everything. I never would have thought it would end the way it did. I am convinced that president Laporta loves Leo and since he left, he has said that Messi deserves to say goodbye to the important figure that he is.”first reported and continued:

“Leo has helped our club become much bigger than when he arrived. When a person is that big, you have to say goodbye the right way. He left due to very difficult financial circumstances, for a thousand reasons I’m not going to get into.

I hope the day comes when I’m in my seat at the Camp Nou and I can stand up and give Leo a well-deserved ovation and farewell. And I know that Joan will try and Leo too, and he and his family will receive all the love that the Barcelona fans have for him, with all the gratitude and respect for what he has done for the club.”.
