One of Greece’s top basketball clubs has joined the Macron family.

AEK BC, one of the most historic clubs in Greece, will wear the Macron Hero on its chest not only for the 2023-24 season, but for the next five years, in both Greek and European competitions.

AEK, which will celebrate its centenary next season, was the first Greek basketball team to reach the Final Four in the FIBA ​​Champions Cup. This was in 1966.

Just two years later, in 1968, AEK became the first Greek team to win a European title when they beat Slavia Prague to win the European Cup Winners’ Cup. The match was played in front of 80,000 fans and is still the Guinness World Record for a basketball match.

The club’s trophy case contains a large number of national and international trophies, including 8 Greek Championship trophies, 5 Greek Cups, 1 Basketball Champions League trophy, 1 European Cup Winners’ Cup, 1 FIBA ​​Saporta and 1 Intercontinental Cup.

This almost 100-year history is destined to continue on the pitches and in the shirt of this great Greek club.
