The fantastic world of the selfish – Origin Surf

I tried to run like hell out of this pathetic story Kelly Slater got into. Yes, he and his persecutory ideas, I imagine, turned him into a kind of surfing Bozó.

My lack of time, however, did not allow me to go to the bottom of the basement of the net, the world of comments, so that I could arm myself with more arguments, and here I bring them to you, dear reader. However, the little I read was enough to be sure of two things.

First, Kelly Slater is an excellent surfer. Point. Your opinion on science and vaccine doesn’t deserve the slightest attention, or rather, they do. And the communication networks responsible for spreading slander should moderate wild ideas from anyone, when the subject involves health. Vaccination was never to prevent contamination, but not needing to be intubated. What’s the problem with these people?

The second thing Kelly Slater’s parrot showed was that he loves being in the news, and maybe his ego is bigger than Everest. In this way, he cannot remain on the sidelines of any subject that may generate minimal controversy. So it was with the killing of sharks. It has been so as a representative of the anti-vaccine, anti-science and denial movement. It is clear how difficult it is for selfish people to understand that vaccination is about a collective purpose.

Finally, Kelly and Bozó must not know each other, but possibly on a date they would have some things to talk about, in addition to the same opinion about vaccine and public health policy, two things they both know so well, as I master the art of Kung Fu .

In addition, I keep my eyes on this surfing scene that seems to be able to disappoint a little more every day. After all, recently there was even a professional surfer who “borrowed” a Jet Ski and went to the nets to curse his own fans; surfing idols go from bad to worse.

What remains, with joy, is an ocean full of waves, a beautiful sport that inspires health and a new generation that perhaps lives up to the magnitude and beauty that surfing in its essence represents.
